Message From Beyond. Many times my casting projects do not work. What I dig out of the sand is not always what I planed. In this case I combined a project that failed but left this unusual form, with a bas relief face to combine the two into a image that tells a story.
This is the voice that speaks to me to try to keep me out of trouble. Sometimes the message is not clear or I am not listening well. I believe it to be the spirits of my dead ancestors trying to guide me. My grandmother used to read tea leaves. She told me to learn to "listen to the bird". "What is the bird?", I asked. It is the little voice in your head that advises you what to do. Every time I get into trouble I later realize I was not paying attention to the bird.
This a free standing piece that will come with a thick stone base that is polished on top and rough cut on the sides.
