Egyptian Dream - paper mache. This piece was made from the same clay model as Egyptian Princess. This gives a better idea of how the young lady made up her face 30 years ago. This was radical at that time and I was transfixed by the look and the self-confidence she had in order to pull it off.
Paper mache has always interested me. I like the look but it turns out it is too delicate for me. You cannot pile stuff on it and the mice enjoy it too much. Dust has settled on it over the years so it has an aged patina now.
