Ballet Dancer by Richard Arfsten
Ballet Dancer. This ballet dancer is one of several figures that I made by rolling little balls of warm wax and sticking them on the form I was building. After a very short time it gets hard. If you look you can see the little balls that have been squished into little pancakes as they are stuck to the form.
The wax form then goes to an Art Foundry and after a multitude of time-consuming processes you wind up with a bronze ballerina.
