Three Sisters by Richard Arfsten
Three Sisters - stainless steel fabrication. There were several designs in this series. I enlarged Three Queens and Three Sisters.
It costs just as much to develop the patterns for a small piece as it does the larger piece. It is actually easier to bend the metal for the big piece than the smaller one. For that reason I don't enlarge smaller than 6 feet.
I am a sculptor and I get my kick making the maquette. This I why I don't do the enlargements any more. Someone who makes metal signs has all the special tools to do this work on a small scale. If you want it BIG then there are fabricating companies to do the enlargements.
This is a stainless steel piece with a random scratch finish.
Sculpture size: 26W X 28T X 15D
