A court jesters hat usually has multiple arms with tassels or balls or little bells on the ends. This piece has many pointed ends that have been rolled and give me the feeling of a Jesters hat.
This piece has multiple hanging holes which make it balance differently. This means you can periodically change the hanging point to look like a different sculpture. The slightest wind movement makes the piece turn. It is almost mesmerizing how it moves. It is a very calming effect. I can see it hanging from a tree on the lawn of a retirement home or nursing home.
This is a wind driven stainless steel kinetic sculpture. It is suspended by a thin stainless steel cable. I had it at an indoor art exhibition and it was still as I thought should be. All of a sudden it started to turn. I could not believe it. It turns out the air conditioning started blowing from about 30 feet away. The slightest bit of air movement turns this. It is very soothing and relaxing to sit and watch it.
