Cloning by Richard Arfsten

When Flash Gordon and I travel in dream time adventures we look for a space oasis to stop at. Sort of like eating at truck stops so you can look at all the different truck rigs and talk to the drivers. One being we were talking to had a injured arm and it looked like he was growing an extra arm just like some crabs do when they loose a claw. We talked to him. He was quite friendly. I finally asked him about his arm and he explained his people have a way of manipulating their DNA so they can grow body parts that wear out. Some times they travel for hundreds of years and need to make body repairs.

This design tries to illustrate growing extra body parts. When you think about it there are frogs with DNA problems with extra legs. Imagine if you could program your body to grow extra parts.

Maybe this could be a design for a company that does DNA manipulations or a university that is studying DNA or developing hybrid plants to help with global warming?

Maquettes also make fine desk top sculpture and will come with a stone base to sit on.
