Giant Flower Installation
These pictures are to get you familiar with the properties of these giant flowers. First they are BIG for a reason. I do not want to encourage people to climb on them. That is also why there are no branches with leaves. I am about 6' tall so you can see the top of the flower is 15' or 16' tall. The stem is made from a pipe that has a special high-strength design with a swirl that gives it an organic look.
I cut the flower petals freehand without using a pattern. They are all one-of-a-kind as I do not want them to look like they came out of a factory in China. If you look at a real flower every petal is different.
The same philosophy is used with the painted finish. I apply the designs individually - there are no stencils used. Every petal is different.
I am a sculptor and an artist. I am not in the transportation or landscape business. My prices are based on F.O.B. Burlington, WI. That means you are responsible to transport and install the flowers. I will load your truck at my studio (using my fork lift). You tie up your load and drive it to your site. This is how I have sold all my big flowers.
Once at your site, you are responsible to install the flowers. The flowers have a 4-inch tubular stem that I supply. It slides over a 3-inch standard pipe that the client supplies and installs in the ground at their site.
Installation is very quick and simple. The flower head comes off of the stem for transportation and then easily slides into the stem and two bolts are tightened at the site. The flower is usually attached to the stem on the ground and then the unit is lifted and slid over the 3-inch pipe that is cemented in the ground.
