Thorn Bush
Thorn Bush - aluminum. This floral form sculpture is made from little pieces left over in the nibbler box on the iron worker. I like to use repeating forms to build a composition. It is also a metaphor of my life to some extent. When you make hundreds of pieces, some from long ago, a few hold a sweet spot in your heart, this piece is one of them. This was part of a exercise to learn to weld aluminum. It has been living in my garden for 30 years so if someone wants to buy it I will sand blast it and give it a new coat of paint. This finish has weathered.
