Chuckies Cheese is another piece that did not cast properly but came out looking cool. It looks as if it was made out of Swiss cheese and a mouse was chewing on it.
This is a example of shrink that is the normal way this type of casting comes out. This is why foundry experts do not believe I am telling them the truth about how I cast my pieces. Obviously there are a couple of little details I do not tell them about.
This casting process, Evaperative Pattern Casting" has about 50 variables. In industry when they use this process they pour with a robot and record every detail. They may run 100 or more pours recording all the trials to see which worked best. After they figure that out they then start work on a run of 100,000 or more. I only have one chance to succeed. I have a lot of failures which drives the price per successful piece up. This process is is only practical for long runs. I get one shot per design. It is a wonder I ever get something. I can tell you I make a lot of scrape. Very rarely does a miss cast have any redeeming interest.
