Enigma by Richard Arfsten
Enigma - monumental sculpture. Enigma started out life as Grace. She lived a year in that set of clothes and then she decided she wanted to be a little more zippy. A new back story was also born.
Flash Gordon and I found her in an underground temple of a dead society in a distant part of the Universe. When we brought her home she was gray. After the first winter in Wisconsin she turned a purplish color, sort of like a turnip. In the spring of the next season she put on a whole new set of clothes. She was acclimating to her new home. She even grew a flower on top. Upon close inspection the flower has an eye in the center. I think she is watching over our garden, my wife and I, our many cats and our little dog Pixel.
Enigma is painted steel. This is my favorite finish. It is fun, simple to make a color change and puts a smile on my face.
