Red Tempest by Richard Arfsten
Red Tempest - original monotype. It was made by applying ink onto a plastic printing plate. Paper is laid over the ink and pressure is applied to make some of the ink transfer. You never know how much ink will transfer and you only get one chance per inking. The final monotype may contain several different color inkings with many days needed for the ink to dry between applications. Sometimes these prints take weeks to make. They are a lot of fun when they work and a lot of exasperation when they do not.
