Celestial Monolith by Richard Arfsten
Celestial Monolith - maquette. We (Flash Gordon and I) heard some strange sounds on the radio as we were in the vicinity of a planet with a pink and gold atmosphere. As we flew the ship closer to the surface we found a city with very interesting architectural buildings. When we landed I took some pictures with our 3-dimensional camera. After we explored the ruins I replicated some of them in our replicator on the way home. I wanted to make sure I had something to remember the experience by when I woke up in the morning.
This is a celestial monolith that was at the edge of the city. It was about 500 feet tall and made out of cast iron just as this maquette is. Although this one is a bit smaller. LOL
Being a foundry man I was extremely interested in how something of that magnitude could be made. I wish the inhabitants were still alive so I could have talked to them.
This maquette will come with a thick stone base that is polished on top and rough cut on the sides. Enlargement Rights are not included in the price of the maquette.
If you have an interest in having this design enlarged please contact me for details.
