Dark Frigate
Dark Frigate - maquette is a model for a large sculpture that would be suited for a yacht club. The maquette is a solid aluminum piece, one-of-a-kind as are all of these models are. The maquettes are actually 3-dimensional blueprints intended to be given to a special metal fabricator who would use them to enlarge and fabricate the design to monumental scale.
As a maquette, this piece would also make a spectacular desk top sculpture. As such it is made to sit on a granite stone base that will come with the piece. The stone base has a polished top and cut sides.
