Grand Migration - maquette. I once saw a Black Bird migration. There were millions of birds in a black ribbon that was about 300 feet wide from horizon to horizon. They were so thick they blocked out the sky. They were low, only about 10 feet above the trees. It looked like a giant ribbon blowing in the wind that I was able to see from miles away and had to drive over to see what it was.
I see this piece as those birds. Or it could represent people fleeing the Middle East to try to survive.
The maquette will come with a thick stone base that is polished on top and rough cut on the sides.
