This maquette would make a great gift for a writer. It is also a great design for a corporate outdoor piece. The message could be "our company is at your side supporting you and all our other clients". This design can be made out of any sheet metal by your metal fabricator.
This maquette is the 3-dimensional blueprint a fabricator will use to enlarge and make patterns from.
The major value of these maquettes is that they are the means to enlarge for an architectural setting. Once a maquette is sold without Enlargement Rights it is gone and is no longer part of the maquette library.
Some of these designs are not practical to enlarge because they are too complicated. While some shapes are eye pleasing they would be very hard to make bigger. These are intended as table top or desk top sculpture. The ones that are designed to be enlarged and fabricated with sheet metal have a much greater value to me. There is only one copy. This is why there is a price difference between pieces.
